HCNS Hall of Fame

We are very proud of all our students. Here are some of the great events, competitions, prizes and news stories featuring our wonderful pupils. If you take part in a club or sports event outside of school make sure you let us know!

Congrats to the HCNS basketball team that were runners up in their tournament in the Oblate Hall last Wednesday the 15th of May. They played some superb basketball and were so unlucky in the final where they only lost by 2 points! Well Done everybody you represented your school so well on the day!

On the 10th of May, 30 pupils from 3rd to 6th class headed off to Sundrive Park to represent their school in a cross country event. Each runner did fantastic and our school were placed in both the 3rd and 4th Class heats. We lost out by only seconds in being in the overall winners categories but each pupil had a great day and are looking forward to more opportunities to represent their school in the near future!

UPDATE! Ellie Hurrell has won the overall prize at the National Maths Eyes competition in the Under-11 Category and Ryan Dunne came in 2nd place. Hundred of students from all around Ireland enter this competition every year so this is a huge achievement for both students. Well done!

CONGRATULATIONS to our past pupil Caitlyn Reardon (class of 2015) who recently won 2 competitions at the World Irish Dancing Championships! Her younger sister Rebecca in Ms. O’Connor’s 2nd class also brought a MASSIVE trophy in to show her class that she won in her most recent Irish dancing competition. What a talented family!!

Another talented family in our midst are the Cavars. Marta and Raitis both won medals at the National Judo Competition this year. Well done to them both!
