School Evaluation

School Self Evaluation and School Improvement Planning:

Over the past number of years, School Self Evaluation has taken place in the areas of Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Gaeilge, PE and Digital Learning. The staff have readily embraced the whole concept of School Self Evaluation and this approach is becoming  embedded in teachers’ practice.

This coming September we will be starting a new cycle of School Self Evaluation in the areas of Numeracy, Science, Gaeilge and PE. Please find our SSE reports and plans below.

Droichead Process:

In 2014 Harold’s Cross National School signed up to take part in the initial trial phase of the Droichead process as a means of probating newly qualified teachers. The Professional Support Team (PST) has seen many teachers probated under this process since 2014. Each year we have had between 1 and 5 newly qualified teachers take part in the process. The process has been a very successful and positive experience for the whole staff.
